Thirty new PhD studies travelled to Gretna in March 2013 for the first Graduate School residential trip. The aim of the residential was twofold; 1. an extension of induction, to provide the students with the sense of being part of the College Graduate School in addition to their own research group and school identity; 2: to undertaken some transferable skill training, particularly in working effectively in a team and thinking about their ethical behaviour.

It was a fantastic experience for all and the commitment, enthusiasm (and hardiness in enduring some bitterly cold weather) were exemplary!

The photographs from the residential can be viewed on our Facebook site.

Ideas are currently being sought for a location for the 2014 residential.
